Smart Design: The GO-WLD-1-DIY gate opener is designed to use power efficiently. The motor is positioned ideally in relation to the pivot point (center of rotation), allowing it to handle bigger and heavier gates than other gate openers.
Easy Installation: This opener is quick and easy to install compared to other systems. It has a 24V motor and can be used with a stepdown transformer. You can wire it to 230V AC at the gate or upgrade to the DIY model, which includes an extra enclosure with a transformer coil that can be plugged into any power point. This option allows you to run a cable up to 30m - 50m from the grid without having to bury it underground like a 230VAC cable. For distances up to 30m, a cable with a diameter of around 1mm2 is sufficient; for longer distances, a larger diameter cable is required. Since it operates at low voltage (24V), you can do all the wiring yourself. This option is particularly useful when grid power is not available directly at your gate.
Important: this gate opener system should only be used on sealed underground with less than 100mm level difference.
