Turtle Gate Activator

Owners of automated gates have always been looking for a system that senses their approaching car and triggers the opening of the gate. The new  Turtle Gate Activator (TGA)  is the perfect affordable solution!!

What you need is one of our TGA kits consisting of 1 small black box receiver switch (wired to the control board of the gate opener) and a small USB dongle you plug in at your cars USB phone charger plug. If you have no USB phone charger in your car, just buy a universal USB phone charger to plug in at your car’s cigarette lighter socket. 

What can the TGA-222 do for you?

Your gate will open automatically as soon as you turn the ignition key of your car provided you are within 15-30m of the gate (line of sight). If the distance is bigger, the gate will open once you drive towards it and get closer. The TGA will keep the gate open for as long as the car is within the range of the gate opener (15-30m). The TGA control unit will close the gate automatically seconds after the car (dongle) is no longer within range. This means the gate will not close as long as the car with the dongle is nearby and running. You can pair several dongles with the same gate controller if you have more then one car at the property.

A dongle is deactivated as soon as the ignition is switched off and the gate will be automatically closed a short time later.   

This system will open the gate for you no matter whether you are leaving the property or arriving – this is something other systems can’t do!

Is this system ideal in every situation?

This system will work fine in most situations but there are some things you have to be aware of.

Let’s say your gate is near the main street. Before you go home you drive past your house because you first want to pick up some groceries further up the street. Passing your house can trigger the gate to open because the receiver will get the signal from your passing car and open the gate until it is automatically closed again 5 seconds later. This can be a problem if you have kids / pets who should not be able to exit the property. It can be a problem if you are a local plumber, driving past the gate 8 times a day. So, before you decide to order this device, please make sure you are not in a situation like the “local plumber“.  

This system is only available together with a Turtle Gate Opener system as we only have a limited number of TGA’s available at this point in time. It will later also be available for other owners of our gate openers.
